The Item is an innovative new website offering products for the Care Industry. Every product is detailed with a video explaining the product, the benefits, who it helps and how it helps them. We interview manufacturers to make them stand by their items. Nobody wants to think about needing care or needing to care for a loved one but the chances are, that at some point in our lives, we will need this. When it happens most people have little to knowledge about the items that can help assist and support you to make your life easier or the life of those you care for easier. THEITEM.TV is aware of the need for people to be able to make informed decisions. Traditionally, websites have used images and descriptions. Is this enough? Or, is this information a clever way to sell items to an uninformed audience? Is a dementia product right for everyone? Or is it good for those with Alzheimer's disease but not for vascular dementia? Is the item right for people in early stage dementia or is it better suited to those in mid-stage dementia? These are the sorts of questions we look to help you answer.We have a host of experts, both at The Item and invited to the studio, to offer advice on what items are best suited for different conditions, when in the condition they help the most, and how they help.
