With more than 72 years of experience providing critical programs and services to San Diegans experiencing homelessness, Father Joe's Villages is San Diego's leading homeless service provider. With at least 8,000 individuals experiencing homelessness on any given night in San Diego, our compassionate and effective solutions are more necessary than ever. People who are homeless are at greater risk of serious illness, poor mental health, substance abuse and violence. In fact, our homeless neighbors have a mortality rate four to nine times higher than those who are not homeless. At Father Joe's Villages we believe every person, housed or not, is deserving of respect and dignity, and has the ability to lead a productive and fulfilling life. No situation is the same, so we offer individually tailored services to help our homeless neighbors reach their true potential. With decades of experience, our results speak for themselves. Proudly, we have helped close to 11,000 people achieve permanent housing in the last 10 years. But, our work is not done.
