The Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS) is the juvenile justice agency for the District of Columbia. We are at the forefront of a national trend in juvenile justice for positive, community-based services and placements for youth. Public safety is our primary goal and to achieve this we help court-involved youth develop the skills they need to become productive adults.
